Sober Living Homes
Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions. We have answers. We are here to help you walk through the process of identifying and landing in the next step in your recovery journey.

Common Questions
What amenities set you apart from other homes?
We believe FUN should be a vital part of life. We provide monthly social events (movie nights, game nights, bingo, poker, cornhole and more). We celebrate holidays and birthdays just like any family might.
We have access to bikes and fishing gear and other leisure activities for our residents.
We believe in good food. Food scarcity should never be a hinderance to your recovery! You get so much more than nourishment from meals. We believe that communal meal preparation and breaking bread together is an important way to build community. Breakfasts start the day right and we are committed to have toast and grits as well as a fruit on hand to start the day out right. We do the menu planning and shopping and provide directions for preparation of suppers. We provide a monthly calendar on which residents sign up to cook or clean up supper each night. Simple meals that fill the belly and the heart!
We respect your space. Rules are necessary. We implement a zero tolerance policy and have random testing. We also believe in going the extra mile in helping our residents feel safe and comfortable. Safety and security is a two way street. Each resident is issued a lockable cabinet and each room has their own mini fridge. You should never worry about your personal food or belongings.
Holistic Approach
What supports do you offer?

We are always actively building partnerships with the community. We strongly suggest that our residents continue to pursue sobriety through supportive measures most days of the week. This could be in the form of AA/NA meetings, church, religious recovery meetings, therapy or other supportive means. We ask that our residents use a combination of these supports 4 days a week.
As part of our ongoing development of community partnership it is our goal to bring in positive life skills classes such as job preparedness, yoga, art or other positive and fun classes that will help our residents build confidence and new interests!
On the days that do not include positive supports we encourage our residents to engage in new healthy life activities together or with supportive family and friends. We have fishing gear and bikes as well as other games that we offer to loan to our residents.
